Sensible development through citizen participation

The unilateral decision and subsequent declaration, by a small group of people, that the rural areas of the North Corridor must be considered "urban".

A proposed extension of Forevergreen Road through quiet neighborhoods, pristine woodlands, and prime agricultural land - a process that has been undertaken with almost no citizen involvement.

An arterial road and huge development project designed without consideration of the increased traffic flow and the attendant public safety issues that will greatly impact current residents.

Annexation of county land in the North Corridor by the City of Coralville - an action that will place urban devlopment in the center of a rural residential district.

A proposed huge development that will include multiple dwelling units and commercial enterprises to be located in the heart of a quiet rural community.

We believe that these proposals will be harmful to the people living in the North Corridor. As concerned neighbors, friends, and citizens, we have organized the Citizens for Sensible Development to bring the voice of the people into the planning process.
